Today we had a visit from a Mammologist, Ger Stanton who specialises in studying bats. He gave a fascinating presentation with slides of loads of different breeds of bats and came with a lunchbox of (dead) bats. The girls had lots of questions and got to hold the bats if they wanted to. They will no longer have any fear of our harmless and very helpful Irish bats.
