There was great excitement today when four members of the Glen Rovers Club visited the school with four trophies including the O’Duffy cup, the senior All Ireland trophy. Each player explained what the trophies were won by various Cork teams ranging from under 15’s to senior. These players are real role models for everyone with the level of committment and the teamwork that they show. Mary Newman encouraged the children to take up camogie with training twice a week. It is a wonderful sport not only from a fitness and sporting point of view but also from the point of view of friendships made.
