Third class took part in a 12 week Sport for Life programme during the last term . Sonia, a tutor from UCC came every week to do many activities and teach the girls about their heart, muscles, good diet, exercise and healthy living. LIFE standing for Learning, Integration, Fun and Education, really accurately described the programme. It has been developed by the University of Ulster and is for the 7 to 9 year old age group.
As a conclusion to this programme, the girls took part in a big session in Neptune Stadium with the participants from other schools. It was an active, fun filled morning and they were presented with a Certificate at the conclusion. It was great to be part of such an educational programme.
