Sixth class went on a fantastic trip on the open top bus around the city today. The day began with a visit to the Butter Museum at Shandon where they were treated to a wonderful guided tour of the museum. They even made butter which they got to bring back to school. They then got a chance to buy sweets at Linehan’s sweet shop before getting on the bus. There was so much to see and listen to on the commentary as they passed so many historical places. After getting off the bus in Western Road they were taken up through the grounds of UCC where it was graduation day. It was very exciting to meet a past pupil of the school who was graduating today. She recalled her experience of being on the same trip when she was in 6th class. Lunch was in Burger King which was a lovely surprise and then on to the bus again for the last leg of the trip back to Shandon and the walk back to the school. It was a wonderful day.
