The girls from third to sixth classes got to go to the Cork Pops Orchestra with Evelyn Grant in the City Hall today. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the performance. They learned about the instruments of the orchestra and enjoyed beautiful pieces of classical music. The show also had pop and modern music and the singer was a former winner of The Voice. A DJ and music producer gave a demonstration of making music using technology and the girls joined in the singing with gusto. They got a shout out from Evelyn Grant and they gave Jimmy Hynes a huge cheer. Jimmy also took some of the percussion girls in the band up on the stage after the show.
The girls in Second Class made their First Confession today also. It was a lovely ceremony and the boys from St Mark’s also made their Confession. Well done to all.
